Taraxacum (/tƏ’ræksƏkƏm/ - commonly known as dandelions.

We share joy with our vivid colour.  Bees love us, butterflies love us, birds love us. Our flowers are the first food for insects after hibernation.  Our sweet flowers have been used to make jam, sauces and salads.  Our greens can be eaten cooked or raw and are an excellent source of vitamins A, C, K, E & folate and provide minerals, including iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium.
